Terms of Service

The short version

Use the Service responsibly. Don't try to break it or use it to hurt others. We provide it "as is" — predictions are an estimate, not a guarantee. You can cancel anytime; we can suspend accounts that abuse the Service. Standard SaaS terms apply.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Drag Race Logbook Pro (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account. Notify us promptly at support@dragracelogbook.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any law.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our source code, AI models, or proprietary data.
• Resell, rent, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.
• Upload content that infringes third-party rights or contains malware.
• Interfere with the Service's operation (DoS attacks, abusing rate limits, etc.).

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the data you log (cars, runs, photos, notes — "Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service for you. We won't use Your Content for advertising or training third-party AI models.

You're responsible for Your Content. Don't upload photos of people who haven't consented to be on a public-facing time slip image, or anything you don't have the right to share.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Free plan

Free accounts include a limited number of manually logged runs and logbook page imports, as described on the pricing page. Free plan limits may change with notice.

Paid plans

Pro subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime from Profile → Billing. You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period; no further charges will occur. We don't generally offer refunds for partial periods, but we'll review reasonable requests in good faith.

Price changes

We may change subscription prices. If we do, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before the change applies to your account.

7. AI extraction and predictions — important disclaimer

The Service uses AI to extract data from photos and to predict elapsed times. AI is fallible.

• Extracted values may be wrong. Always review what the AI extracted before relying on it for racing decisions.
• ET predictions are estimates. They are based on your historical data and current/historical atmospheric conditions. They are not a guarantee of how a car will run, and should never be used to dial-in for a bracket race without your own judgment.
• Weather data is third-party. NOAA, Open-Meteo, and ERA5 are reputable sources but not infallible. Trackside instruments (Kestrel, Computech) remain the gold standard for race-day decisions.
• The Service does not give safety advice. Drag racing involves serious physical risk. Follow your sanctioning body's safety rules, your track's instructions, and your own experience.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance windows, upstream outages (Stripe, weather APIs, hosting provider), and unforeseen events can cause downtime. We'll communicate scheduled maintenance in advance when possible.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, abuse the Service, attempt fraud, or create a safety/legal issue for other users. We'll give you notice and a chance to fix the problem when reasonable; in serious cases (security, fraud) we may act immediately.

You can terminate your account anytime by emailing support@dragracelogbook.com or using the in-app account deletion flow.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, AI models, and documentation, is owned by us and our licensors. These terms don't grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR USD $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of third-party rights.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these terms will be resolved through binding arbitration in the jurisdiction where we are headquartered, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You waive any right to participate in a class action against us.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

16. Entire agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
