Every drag strip, in one place.
Drag Strip Directory
224 sanctioned and independent drag strips across 28 countries — 86 NHRA member tracks, 76 IHRA, plus the international circuits. Each page has the track's coordinates, elevation, length, surface, today's sunrise/sunset, live weather, and live density altitude.
What this directory is for
This is the master index of every quarter-mile and eighth-mile facility in the Drag Race Logbook Pro database. The goal is simple: when you're hunting a fast index or chasing a national event entry, you should be able to find the venue, its elevation, and the atmospheric baseline for that location in one click — not three Google searches.
Each entry links to a dedicated page with that facility's coordinates, surface (concrete launch into asphalt is the modern NHRA standard; some independents are full-asphalt), strip length (1,320 ft for a full quarter, 660 ft for the eighth), and the current NOAA observation closest to the start line. We use those values to back-calculate density altitude for any run you log there.
Why elevation and air density matter for picking a track
Density altitude — the elevation an aircraft (or your car) "feels" given current temperature, pressure, and humidity — is the single biggest external variable in a naturally-aspirated drag racing run. A normally-aspirated small-block that runs 10.50 at sea level on a 60°F morning will run roughly 10.85–10.95 at 5,000 ft of density altitude. That is why Bandimere Speedway (Morrison, CO) and Bandimere's old NHRA Mile-High Nationals are famous for slow ETs and why a winter test at sea level produces personal bests. Picking a strip with a known elevation is the first step in setting realistic expectations for a trip.
How tracks are organized below
Entries are grouped by country, USA first (it has the largest concentration of operating strips), then alphabetical. Within each country the venues are sorted by name. The count in parentheses next to each country header shows how many entries that region has in the database today. If you operate or race regularly at a venue we don't have listed, you can add it from inside the app and a moderator will roll it into this index.

Common questions about the directory
Does Drag Race Logbook Pro work at non-NHRA venues?
Yes. Anything with a timing system and a known elevation works. The app is sanctioning-agnostic — IHRA, NHRA, Outlaw, no-prep, test-and-tune, even an airport runway event. As long as you can enter a time slip (or photograph one), the logbook will process the run.
What if my home venue isn't in the list?
Add it. From inside the app, the "Add Track" flow lets you drop a pin on a map, enter the facility name, and confirm the surface and strip length. Submissions are reviewed within a few days and merged into the public directory — at which point they appear here.
Why do some entries show "1/8 mile" instead of 1,320 ft?
Eighth-mile-only facilities have a 660-ft finish line as their official strip length. The database stores that explicitly so when you log a pass we compare your 660-ft trap MPH against the correct distance — not against a quarter-mile baseline that would mislabel the run.
How current is the elevation data?
Elevations are pulled from USGS / SRTM datasets at the published coordinates and verified against the facility's listed altitude. They don't change. Atmospheric conditions, on the other hand, are pulled live from the closest NOAA observation station every time you load a track page — so the density altitude reading is real-time.
How to actually use this list
1. Pin your home strip
Once you sign in, favoriting a venue makes it the default in every car you log a run against. The dashboard then shows you a personal "all-time at this venue" trend — best 60-ft, best ET, average MPH — and a comparison against the prevailing atmospheric conditions on each visit. After ten or so passes the system can tell you what ET to expect at that strip on a given Saturday morning, which is the entire point of keeping a logbook in the first place.
2. Use the elevation as your trip planner
Before you book a hotel for a divisional, look up the venue's elevation here and the multi-year average temperature on a weather almanac. Punch those into the density-altitude tool — at 6,200 ft of corrected altitude, you're going to be roughly four-tenths slower than your sea-level baseline in a normally-aspirated combination. That changes whether you bring the bigger pulley, the smaller pulley, or the spare gear.
3. Compare your runs across two venues
The compare view lets you pick two strips you've raced at and overlay your performance. Visually it answers the obvious questions: am I leaving harder at home, or on the road? Are my 60-fts consistent across coasts? Is my MPH actually a function of conditions, or am I leaving power on the table somewhere? You don't get those answers without a structured, location-tagged history.
4. Sanity-check a new venue before you commit
If you're considering an entry at a venue you've never raced, open its page. Look at: surface (some independents are still all-asphalt, which launches very differently than a concrete pad), strip length (eighth-mile or quarter), elevation, and reported sunset time (matters for evening qualifying). Knowing those four numbers ahead of time is worth a few hundredths off your dial-in on the first time out.
Don't see your home venue?
Drag Race Logbook Pro supports any timed strip on Earth — the database ships 224 sanctioned + international entries, and Pro members can add their own with a tap. New submissions get reviewed and rolled into this directory.
