Digital Drag Racing Logbook for Bracket and Class Racers

Most digital logbooks are spreadsheets in a wrapper. This one was built around the way racers actually work between rounds — fast entry, photo evidence on every run, atmospheric conditions captured the moment the slip prints, and a paper-logbook import flow so you don't lose the seasons you already wrote down.

Is Drag Race Logbook Pro built for the staging lanes?

Yes. Bracket and class racers don't have time to fill out a 30-field form between rounds. The Log Run dialog is one screen, scrollable, with the fields you actually need: car, track, date, run time, ET, MPH, splits, dial-in, lane, and notes. Open it from any page, hit Save, you're back to the staging lanes. Average entry time with a scanned time slip: under 15 seconds.

Everything else — weather, density altitude, gauge temps, predicted ET — is captured automatically or with one extra photo. You can fill in as little or as much as you want; nothing is required except a car and a date. The more you log, the better the predictor gets, but you're never gated behind required fields.

Does the logbook store photo evidence for every run?

Every run can store three photos: the time slip, the weather screenshot (or Kestrel display), and a gauge cluster shot. All three are clickable thumbnails on the run list, openable in a full-size viewer, downloadable as originals. You build a real visual history of your season — not just numbers, but the actual receipt of every pass.

When the sponsor or the chassis builder asks "what were you running last summer at Bandimere," you have the photos to back it up. No "I think it was about 4.95 at 6800 DA." You have the slip, the weather, the trans temp, and the dial-in, all attached to one row.

Can I import my existing paper logbook with AI?

If you've been keeping a JEGS-style paper logbook, those years don't need to stay on paper. The logbook import flow has you photograph each page, then the AI reads every row, every column — including the harder columns like launch RPM, delay setting, throttle timer, shift setting, trans temp, tire PSI front/rear, vapor pressure, and the section split times.

Each cell comes back with a confidence score. Low-confidence values are flagged in the review grid so you can fix them in place — most pages are 90%+ correct on first read, and the grid puts you exactly where the AI is unsure. A solid season of bracket racing is usually 2–4 logbook pages; you can digitize a year in 20 minutes.

Free accounts get 2 page imports to try the flow. Pro accounts get unlimited.

What's tracked per run

The Run table covers what bracket, class, and junior racers actually record:

  • Reaction time, 60-foot, 330, 660, 660 MPH, 1000, ET, MPH
  • Dial-in, lane, run number, round, event name
  • Air temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed and direction
  • Density altitude (auto-computed or read off your Kestrel)
  • Oil temp, coolant temp, intake air temp, transmission temp
  • Launch RPM, delay box setting, throttle timer, shift setting
  • Section splits (60–330, 330–660, 660–1320)
  • Tire PSI front + rear
  • Sky condition, track temp, vapor pressure, corrected altitude
  • Win/loss, breakout, and any notes you want to add

Filter, sort, search, export

The runs page handles a season the way a spreadsheet would, but faster. Sort any column. Filter to a single car. Search notes. Toggle which columns are visible. Switch to a card view on mobile, a logbook-grid view that mimics a paper page, or the data table view. Bulk-select rows to edit dial-ins or notes across a round. Export the whole season — or just one car — to CSV, Excel, or print-to-PDF in one click.

CSV exports include every column, including the gauges and the atmospheric block. The filename auto-tags the car name and date so a year of "Top Sportsman Camaro" runs lands on your desktop as "top-sportsman-camaro-2026.csv" — already organized for the spreadsheet wizards and chassis-builder reports.

Race Mode for between-round work

Between rounds, you don't want the full Log Run dialog. You want big touch targets and the predictor right next to the dial-in field. Race Mode is a stripped-down screen that gives you exactly that: every car you own, a current predicted ET based on right-now weather, the run history for today's session, and a fast-log button to drop a slip into the books before they call you to staging again.

It runs full-screen on a phone, lives offline once loaded, and keeps the most recent runs visible without scrolling. Built for the trailer, not the office.

Example: how it works in practice

Given

You just made a 4.81 at 134 in the second round at Bandimere. The track printer gave you a paper slip; the air is 6,500 ft DA; you ran 162°F oil temp.

Result

Open the Log Run dialog, snap the slip — RT, 60-foot, 660, ET, MPH all populate. Weather auto-fills from the nearest station (you can override it with a Kestrel photo). The trans-brake RPM and dial-in come over from the slip. Hit Save. Run #47 of the season is in the books with the photo, the weather, and the gauges all attached. Total time: 12 seconds. The dashboard updates your season trend chart and the personal-best card if it's a new PB.

Frequently asked questions about digital logbook

Is this just for bracket racers?

No. Bracket racers are the largest group, but Sportsman, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street, Junior Dragster, Top Sportsman, and even index racers all use the same logbook. The dial-in field is optional, the class field is free text, and the predictor works on any car with logged runs.

Do I have to log every field for every run?

No. The only required fields are a car and a date. Everything else — weather, gauges, splits, dial-in — is optional. The more you log, the better the predictor and the trend analysis, but you decide what's worth your time.

Can I log a run manually without a time slip photo?

Yes. The Log Run dialog has manual entry fields for every value. The slip photo is a fast path, not the only path.

How many runs can I log on the free plan?

The free plan includes 5 manually-entered runs plus 2 imported logbook pages. Pro plans are unlimited. There's no run cap once you upgrade.

Can I export my data and leave?

Yes. CSV export is available on every plan, including free. You can take every run, every column, every photo URL with you at any time. There's no lock-in.

What about NHRA membership numbers and competition numbers?

Your NHRA number and competition number are stored on your profile. The competition number is what the time slip scanner uses to pick the right lane on dual-lane slips. Each car can also carry its own competition number if you run more than one number across cars.
